The oldest specialised ethnic museum covering all Slovakia documents and presents the history and culture of the Ukrainian ethnic minority.
It has three exhibitions – cultural and historical, an ethnographical open air exhibition and an art historical exhibition in the Dezider Milly art gallery.
The museum is a significant cultural centre in the town and the surrounding region.
The open-air exhibition represents Ukrainian folk architecture: the main types of dwellings, traditional farm, technical and industrial buildings as well as rare wooden churches.

The exhibition located in a Baroque mansion represents the developmentf of folk and professional art of Ruthenians and Ukrainians in Slovakia from 16th century to the present.
