About the museum
Slovak National Museum – Museum of Archaeology is a specialist museum active throughout Slovakia. It focuses on obtaining, recording, restoring, preserving, presenting and publishing archaeological finds on the territory of Slovakia from Prehistory to the High Middle Ages. The Museum of Archaeology's rich collections include many rare finds from various areas of Slovakia, from prehistoric to modern times, mainly originating from its own archaeological research. The Museum of Archaeology's main building and headquarters are situated in the Renaissance Kamper manor house at Žižková ul.12 in Bratislava.
