The findings of the Slav-Avar cemetery in Želovce

The exhibition presents archaeological findings from the cemetery of the village dated to the 7th and 8th century. Location lies near the village Želovce, 10 km south of the Modrý Kameň castle. The findings of the skeletal and burn graves documented the funeral ritual of Avar-Slavic culture, which distinguishes the graves of lesser and greater society as well as the graves of women and men. Exposure is supplemented with the iconography of reconstructed folk costumes.
