Genocide of the Roma during Second World War

from 9. 8. 2019 to 18. 10. 2019

Besides the Jews, the Roma and Sinti were the only groups persecuted because of their biological origin - their "race". The number of Roma and Sinti victims of the Nazi persecution cannot be accurately determined, but is estimated to be between 300,000 and 500,000 victims.
The exhibition also captures the fate of Czech and Moravian Roma, of which approximately 90% were killed. Only 583 of 6,500 Roma prisoners returned from the concentration camps. The exhibition will be opened for the public until 18th of October 2019.
