Paraments - Liturgical Textiles
from 24. 6. 2015 to 17. 1. 2016
The idea behind the Paraments - Liturgical Textiles exhibition is to document the basic typological variants of liturgical dress and textiles, in relation to their wearers in differing confessional environments, and with a view to their use. The exhibition is divided into several sections exploring the use of religious clothing and its relation to ecclesiastical hierarchy – the deacon, priest, or bishop – and to selected church rituals – the mass, funeral, or procession.
