The First World War. A Tragedy that Affected All.

     The First World War, also known as the ”Great War” (28 July 1914 – 11 November 1918) was the first global conflict. The reason for its outbreak was the situation in Europe. The assassination of the Austro-Hungarian Crown Prince Francis Ferdinand d´Este and his wife, who had been murdered in Sarajevo by a member of the Serbian nationalist group “The Black Hand” Gavrilo Princip, had become an excuse for it.
