The History and Culture of Carpathian Germans

The exhibition titled History and Culture of Carpathian Germans provides a close look at almost 900 years of history and culture of Germans living in Slovakia. It presents individual regions of Slovakia inhabited by Carpathian Germans (Bratislava and its surroundings, Central Slovakia – Hauerland, Spiš) and depicts their contributions in development of mining, handcrafts, industry, science and technology. A significant part of exhibition is devoted to the communities’ school system. Numerous original artefacts offer insight into the rural and urban life of Carpathian Germans.
