Alcohol in the Bronze Age. For people and gods, in this world and the next

The exhibition presents how our ancestors in the Bronze Age viewed the consumption of alcoholic beverages. What is now perceived as a cause of family breakdown and a source of mental and physical addiction, was then, for various reasons, considered as an elixir of life, a sacred offering to the gods, and a means of strengthening relationships. On display is a vessel interpreted as a distillation vessel for the production of alcoholic beverages, along with production tools, vessels and utensils for serving and consuming alcohol.
