Ján Zoričák is one of the most respected contemporary artists in the field of global glass art and is considered one of the leading figures in the movement of so-called prismatic sculpture. Through his original artistic expression, he has become a pioneer and promoter of a new approach to glass as an independent artistic medium. In his work, he applies innovative technological methods and influences the optical properties of the material by using lens-like cuts, undulating or slanting walls of elementary geometric forms, color, frosting, and other artistic techniques that enhance the final visual impact of the sculpture. A lifelong theme in his work is the universe. His extraordinarily captivating glass sculptures are created in cycles (Cosmic Signals, Messengers of the Universe, The Big Bang, Heavenly Bouquets, Heavenly Gardens, Stars, and more).
