Bojnice Castle Museum

Part of the Castle Park is temporarily closed, due to the fact that two trees are in critical condition.

The SNM – Bojnice Museum is dealing with a felling request outside of the forest. Since the castle park is part of the Bojnice Castle national heritage site it must go through the proper channels. Currently, the museum has the appraisal of a dendrologist and has requested a binding decision of the Regional Monuments Board of Trenčín. For this reason, the SNM – Bojnice Museum requests that visitors respect the temporary fencing off of the park.    

How can you get to us? 

The museum is in the romantic castle in the center of Bojnice, near the city of Prievidza. Public transport lines 03, 15, 50, 51 run between these two towns on a regular basis.

Accessibility for people with severe disabilities  

The castle is not accessible for immobile people.   

Bojnice Castle for the Visually Impaired

The museum offers a special “tour” for visually impaired and partially-sighted visitors featuring a customized model of the castle on a scale of 1 : 100. It contains descriptions of individual parts of the object in Braille. Thanks to this model, visitors can gain a tangible idea about the architectural structure of the castle. The model is situated in the interior of the castle chapel in the II. castle courtyard. Visually impaired and partially-sighted visitors may also tour the individual expositions of the museum with the help of an assistance dog.

In response to popular demand, on August 4, 2018, the SNM – Bojnice Museum began the sale of 0 Euro Souvenir banknotes with the depiction of Bojnice Castle. They can be purchased at the ticket office. Price: 3 €.
