Notice on restrictions of Spiš Castle. The upper castle is closed for visitors due to ongoing reconstruction; however, the middle and lower courtyards are accessible. Warning The structural integrity of Spiš Castle is critically damaged and can cause immediate threats to the towns of Spišské Podhradie and Žehra and their surroundings. Therefore, the museum requests that visitors restrict their movements to the marked areas and respect the prohibition of entry and movement at the foot of the hill, the castle ramparts and near the castle walls. In these spaces there is an risk of the dislodging of stones, which could lead to life-threatening consequences.
