These days in Bojnice, you can meet very bizarre people, whose disability was their maledictions but on the other hand also their gift.
Since ancient times there were many people whose appearance was totally unusual. Society stood aloof from them but at the same time people wanted to know more about them. Disabled people usually had great inner strength and they wanted to fight against their destiny. They wanted to be respected and mostly worked in circuses where they played all kind of tricks.
This summer you can meet people with two heads, two faces, four eyes, Siamese twins or Wolf Man in Bojnice.
According to contemporary sources, artists of anthropological museum in Saint Petersburg created 25 wax imitations. They used surgical eyes and teeth implants and they also used human hair. That is a reason why the statues look like real. This exhibition is truly unique.
