Laterarius – the History of Brickmaking in Slovakia
The Laterarius exhibition presents the development of building ceramics and their production in Slovakia from its beginnings in Roman times to the 20th century. On display are representative brick products created by masters from the Roman province of Pannonia, medieval Hungary, and modern Austria-Hungary and Czechoslovakia. The authors of the exhibition have also created a website – www.laterarius.sk – where visitors can read articles on the history of brickmaking and view the Register of Brickmarks in Slovakia.
