This exposition presents the animate and inanimate nature of various environments such as polar regions, tundra, tropical forests, grasslands, desserts and coral reefs. It illustrates the variety and immense diversity of living organisms – millions of plant and animal species, microorganisms and complicated ecosystems which acquired their present form over millions of years of development. Through this overview of the miraculous diversity of the Earth we can see that the future existence of humans depends on the preservation of all living organisms and components of inanimate nature which create their environment.
